So this is my first post in my movie blog, so I'll just take a minute to introduce myself:
I'm a movie buff living in Chicago. I've been watching art films since 1991 when I stumbled on "Eraserhead" in an Iowa video store that actually carried a fine variety of movies. Since then I have developed an appreciation for arthouse, foreign, horror and various forms of grindhouse and exploitation cinema. DVDs and Blu-rays are my current collecting hobby and at the current time I have something along the lines of 800 DVDs and Blu-rays combined:

When I'm not watching movies I'm a student at Roosevelt University in Chicago majoring in Sustainability (AKA Green and Environmental Sciences) and volunteer at the Field Museum as needed.

I also have been belly dancing for the last two years and have danced at a few horror-themed events as well as burlesque shows.

Va-va-voom, etc. |
But enough about me. That's not what you're here for!! Since most of my collection consists the aforementioned genres and I don't have the equipment (or time) required for a podcast, I thought I would put my reviews in blog form that I can better maintain and update regularly school permitting. I'm hoping for my first review to be of "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer."
Stay tuned!!
